AW20 PREVIEW

So here we are.

The second half of a most extraordinary year. In September 2019 when we first put pencil to paper to design this collection, something told me that stoicism would be the order of the day, the British spirit of resilience and fortitude would have to gather up its skirts and petticoats and confront adversity head on.

The pesky Coronavirus probably was alive and kicking, but we were blissfully unaware of how it could change our lives so very significantly, cruelly and devastatingly.

Climate change, the demise of the high street, our imminent departure from Europe were the things I worried about.

But there is a job to do, an economy to support, bodies to clothe and with the assistance of the wonderful Cabbage Roses we have made a collection that will help us weather this storm, living life as beautifully as we possibly can.

Many of our fabrics have been woven in England, much of our knitwear has been crafted in Scotland, our hats hand knitted in Norfolk, and nearly all of our clothes were stitched 100 miles from our new shop in Somerset (opening soon, we promise)

Our new white clothing range has been made by a tiny factory in India, which include the divine Edwardian Dress, our comfy, cosy

Pin tucked and embellished nightdress, and our new style under dress with a tiny lacey collar peeping from under our many new frocks.

This is the whole collection. Little deliveries will be made throughout the season. The heavenly tweeds, especially woven for us will arrive just in time
