WHITES FOR WIMBLEDON

With Wimbledon in full play, and the sun peeping out more than ever, we are reaching for our white Cabbages & Roses wardrobe.
In 1877 the first Wimbledon was held. Twenty one amateur tennis players showed up to compete in the Gentlemen's Singles Tournament to win a 25 guinea trophy.
The entrance fee? One pound and one shilling.
9 years later women were allowed to play.
Our only wish is that this would be the required attire for this day and age.

Instead, we lust over aertex tee's and A-line dresses in whites and the prettiest pink and blue florals.

When we think of Wimbledon,
We think of all things Strawberry.
Strawberries are often used for desserts but we love them in this heavenly
Ingredients:
A punnet of large, fragrant strawberries
Buffalo Mozzerella
A bunch of Basil
Parmesan
Pine nuts
Olive oil
Salt and Pepper
Lemon
To make the pesto:
In a blender mix half a clove of garlic, a bunch of basil, a handful of pine nuts, a handful of Parmesan and a large glug of olive oil. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
For the Salad:
Roughly slice your strawberries into rounds.
Tear or slice the mozzarella into desired size.
Arrange onto plate overlapping the two ingredients.
Drizzle the pesto over the salad (you can freeze any leftovers!)
