Cabbages & Roses have proudly partnered with The Montagu, providing a natural influence to their afternoon tea with delicate floral accessories inspired by Chartwell, family home and garden of Sir Winston Churchill. The Montagu is situated in a convenient central London location with views over the picturesque Portman Square Garden.

Chartwell’s famous Rose Garden was Winston Churchill’s wife, Clementine’s, pride and joy and was designed by close friend and cousin, Venetia Montagu. Boasting banks of soft pink and white blooms which were known to be Lady Churchill’s favourite, the Rose Garden remains perhaps the most quintessentially English feature at Chartwell, their much loved family home.

The Afternoon Tea consists of a Floral Decorated Biscuit, inspired by the Cabbages & Roses’ ‘Hatley Cerise’ design, a Rose and White Chocolate Macaroon to pay tribute to Clementine’s favourite garden, a Dark Chocolate Daisy Tart, a Cupcake adorned with blooming Buttercream Flowers and a Champagne and Nettle Jelly which has been delicately decorated with fresh raspberries of the rose family. On the savoury end of the spectrum, The Montagu have created a selection of treats inspired by British summertime ingredients including a Chilled Cucumber Foam, Coronation Chicken, Smoked Salmon Macaroon, Prawn Cocktail and Chicken Liver Pate with Melba Toast.
