The Magical Story of Merino Wool lies in it's very special properties
When it's worn against the skin it regulates body temperature
Because it's both Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic it repels moisture but retains warmth when wet.
Which means the fabric is also slightly moisture repellent.
Keratin fibres are Hydrophobic at one end and Hydrophilic at the other, allowing the wearer to avoid the feeling of dampness.
It draws moisture away from the skin, a phenomenon known as Wicking.
Merino Wool contains Lanolin, just like most wools, which has antibacterial properties, making it odour resistant.
Merino Wool is one of the softest types of wool available due to the fine fibres and smaller scales.
